The Rogers family just confirmed that the American country music legend Kenny Rogers is dead.
The confirmation was done through a post on Kenny Rogers social media profile.
“The Rogers family is sad to announce that Kenny Rogers passed away last night at 10:25 PM at the age of 81.”
We learned that the Rodgers family has made planed for his funeral, however, due to the coronavirus pandemic, a private service will be held in his memory.
The family also announced that a public memorial will hold on a later date.
Kenny was best known for his hits including The Gambler, Lucille, and Coward Of The Country, winning three Grammy Awards during his career. He also topped the charts with hits like Islands In The Stream, She Believes In Me, and Through The Years. He began his career back in 1950, recording with Jazz singer Bobby Doyle, and joined The New Christy Minstrels in 1961.
The star is father to Carole, 60, Kenny Jr, 55, Christopher Cody, 37, as well as 14-year-old identical twin sons, Jordan and Justin.
